Open Position - Sr. Officer/Executive in R&D
Position Details:

- Role: Sr. Officer/Executive - API R&D

- Qualification: MSc in Organic Chemistry
- Experience: 4 to 6 years (Must have experience in API R&D Chemical Synthesis and Process Development)
Key Responsibilities
As a Sr. Officer/Executive in R&D, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting literature surveys and selecting Routes of Synthesis (ROS).
- Performing process feasibility studies and developing API/Intermediate processes with optimization strategies.
- Ensuring the development of cost-effective, high-quality, and environmentally friendly processes in line with ICH guidelines.
- Evaluating API, intermediate, and impurity standards using spectroscopic data (NMR, C-13, MS, DSC, TGA, etc.).
- Handling hazardous chemicals and metal catalysts (e.g., Pd/C, Raney nickel) and performing pressure reactions.
- Designing, finalizing, and proposing specifications of Key Starting Materials (KSM), intermediates, and finished APIs.
- Facilitating technology transfer at a commercial scale and preparing supporting documents.
- Preparing SOPs, protocols, reports, and other related documents as per guidelines.
- Troubleshooting plant and lab-scale synthesis and impurity problems.
- Utilizing QMS tools like TrackWise, EDMS/ELMS, SAP, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates applying for this role should possess:
- An MSc in Organic Chemistry.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in API R&D, chemical synthesis, and process development.
- Proficiency in handling hazardous chemicals and metal catalysts.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with spectroscopic data evaluation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with technology transfer.
- Knowledge of QMS tools such as TrackWise, EDMS/ELMS, and SAP.
