Medical Coder Trainee
Any person with a background in life sciences is eligible.
The set of skills has to be:
- Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking
- Getting certified as a medical coder
- Knowing how to use ICD10 CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, NCCI edits, and recommendations
- Strong clinical understanding in the areas of anatomy and physiology
What you need to do:
- Going through patients' medical data and giving them the right codes
- Making sure that government and insurance rules are followed
