Key Responsibilities
As a Research Associate in Custom Synthesis, you will be engaged in diverse and challenging tasks aimed at driving successful chemical synthesis and compound development. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Designing and executing chemical reactions with minimal supervision.
- Optimizing reaction conditions to increase efficiency and yield.
- Purifying compounds through methods such as column chromatography, vacuum distillation, and crystallization.
- Conducting compound characterization using analytical techniques, including MS and 1H NMR.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of experiments, technical reports, and laboratory records.
- Performing regular equipment maintenance and ensuring lab safety through daily cleanup and inventory checks.
- Conducting literature reviews using scientific databases like SciFinder to stay updated on the latest research.
Educational Qualification and Experience
- Required Qualification: MSc in Organic Chemistry (or equivalent).
- Experience Level: 1-4 years in custom synthesis or related CRO work is preferred.
- Skillset: Proficiency in organic synthesis techniques, strong analytical skills, and experience with compound characterization.
