Position Overview
As an
Associate Medical Writer at Novo Nordisk, you will be part of the
Global Medical Affairs – Global Business Services (GMA-GBS) department. Your primary responsibilities will include moderating discussions, coordinating document reviews, and preparing clinical study documents such as protocols, non-interventional study reports, and investigator’s brochures. You will also have the opportunity to participate in medical and marketing activities, such as attending expert meetings and conferences, all while contributing to the life-changing work Novo Nordisk is doing in the field of diabetes and obesity treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global medical directors to develop study protocols and reports.
- Co-ordinate clinical document version reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform literature searches and create detailed summaries.
- Prepare abstracts, congress posters, and presentations for medical conferences.
- Participate in expert meetings and contribute to cross-functional projects.
- Ensure audit preparedness and maintain high standards of document management.
- Contribute to global collaboration by sharing best practices and improving processes.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- A degree in life sciences, medical, or pharmaceutical fields.
- 2+ years of experience in medical writing, particularly in the preparation of study protocols, non-interventional study reports, and investigator’s brochures.
- Experience in real-world studies and relevant therapeutic areas (diabetes/obesity/MASH) is highly desirable.
- Strong literature search capabilities and ability to summarize findings effectively.
- Familiarity with FDA and ICH guidelines for medical writing and clinical documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
About the Department
The
Global Medical Affairs unit in Bangalore is an extension of the headquarters in Denmark. The department provides global support for the ideation, conduct, and publication of real-world studies. You will work closely with regions and affiliates to contribute to medical affairs activities, enhancing global collaboration and sharing knowledge.
