Key Responsibilities
As a
Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist, you will be expected to:
- Execute Chemical Reactions: Conduct chemical reactions on scales ranging from milligrams to grams, synthesizing required compounds or molecules as per client specifications using efficient methods.
- Peptide Synthesis: Perform both solid-phase and solution-phase peptide synthesis, including handling diverse resins and performing peptide modifications such as cyclization, disulfide bridge formation, stapling, and derivatization.
- Compound Purification: Use advanced techniques like NMR, LCMS, and HPLC to purify and characterize the compounds you synthesize.
- Automated Systems: Gain experience handling automated peptide synthesizers and purification equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records using Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) for accurate tracking of all experiments and processes.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate will have experience and proficiency in the following:
- Expertise in executing chemical reactions and synthesizing compounds in various scales.
- Knowledge of purification techniques and the ability to interpret compound structures using analytical tools.
- Practical experience in solid and solution-phase peptide synthesis.
- Ability to handle automated systems and synthesize peptides with precision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document experiments in ELN.
