Job Description
Wipro is hiring experienced professionals for the position of Drug Safety Analyst - Literature Specialist in Pune. This role involves overseeing the execution and implementation of data acquisition and data management processes that support pharmacovigilance activities.
Responsibilities
As a Drug Safety Analyst at Wipro, you will:
- Data Management: Oversee data acquisition and management processes essential for pharmacovigilance activities.
- Search Strategies: Construct and execute optimal search strategies on biomedical databases and content aggregator platforms.
- Industry Knowledge: Utilize in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry product terminology, drug nomenclature, and drug class hierarchies.
- Literature Review: Perform comprehensive reviews and analyses of scientific literature to support health agency requests and product submissions.
- Technology Awareness: Maintain an understanding of relevant technologies to improve content acquisition processes.
- Vendor Interaction: Oversee and interact with external vendors, including content partners.
- Team Collaboration: Liaise with inter and intra-team members to meet process needs and business objectives.
- Innovation: Drive efficiencies and develop solutions that meet process and customer needs with an innovative mindset.
- Learning Agility: Demonstrate high learning agility to adopt and implement the latest tools and technologies.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Educational Background: PhD, Pharm D, M.Pharm, B.Pharm, BDS, B.Tech, M.Tech (Lifesciences), M.Sc, or B.Sc (Lifesciences).
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in bibliographic database searching and crafting search strategies.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in setting up searches on OVID, EMBASE, MEDLINE.
- Proven scientific literature searching skills.
- Strong understanding of medical terminologies and search syntax for leading databases/platforms such as OVID, Embase, Medline, and Pubmed.
