The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ghaziabad, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Operations Director for the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI). About IPC and PvPI: The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) plays a crucial role in setting standards for drugs in India. The Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) aims to safeguard public health by monitoring and assessing adverse drug reactions (ADRs) across the country. 2. Job Details:
  • Position: Operations Director - Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI)
  • Location: Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad
  • Salary Range: INR 90,000 to 1.5 Lakh per month
  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Age Limit: Preferably below 50 years (relaxation for suitable candidates)
3. Essential Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Research, Pharm. D, MBBS, or BDS from a recognized university or institute. An MBA as an additional qualification will be preferred. 4. Required Experience: Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in drug safety, pharmacovigilance, or the clinical domain. Experience in managing multi-location operations, designing systems, and executing large public awareness programs is essential. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to coordinate operations at ADR Monitoring Centres (AMCs). 5. Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate operations at ADR Monitoring Centres (AMCs).
  • Design and execute awareness programs through advertising and other engagement models.
  • Develop strategies to expand the national footprint for PvPI.
  • Design and implement incentive programs.
  • Execute communication strategies effectively.
6. Period of Engagement: We are looking for long-term engagement with a suitable candidate. The engagement models could include consultancy, retainership, advisory, or similar arrangements, finalized based on mutual agreement. 7.
