Qualifications
Educational Requirement:
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry
Experience:
- 4-10 years of experience in peptide synthesis
Key Responsibilities
Peptide Synthesis:
- Perform solid-phase and solution-phase peptide synthesis.
- Handle diverse resins for peptide synthesis.
- Conduct peptide modification, including cyclization, disulfide bridge formation, stapling, and derivatization.
- Work on scales ranging from milligrams to grams.
Characterization:
- Characterize peptides using LCMS, HPLC, and NMR techniques.
- Experience in handling automated peptide synthesizers is desirable.
- Peptide purification experience is desirable.
Problem Solving:
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills.
- Work independently and effectively within a team.
Skills Required
- Expertise in solid-phase and solution-phase peptide synthesis.
- Proficiency in handling various resins for peptide synthesis.
- Capability in peptide modification techniques such as cyclization, disulfide bridge formation, and stapling.
- Experience in peptide characterization using LCMS, HPLC, and NMR.
- Familiarity with automated peptide synthesizers and peptide purification processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
